I've never had a full week at just one of the schools I serve. The continuity of being in one place is nice.
Welcomed students to school on the playground. Caught the principal up with what's been going on throughout the week. (A lot!)
Went to Bristol for a District Leadership Team (DLT for short...made up of principals/assistant principals/central office staff) meeting. Four of us visited three classrooms and observed. The purpose of this is to refine/improve our observation skills. I love this exercise because it makes me a better observer.
Then went to Central Office and debriefed with the rest of the DLT. Learned about Hixson's observation methods. Learned about SLOs and what will be expected of educators starting next year.
Came back and had a student in my office for the afternoon.
Dealt with yet another cafeteria incident. (I'm starting to really dislike lunch time!)
Visited 5th grade classrooms.
Helped with dismissal procedures.
Oh, and I ate that delicious salad that I made for Wednesday. I got to eat lunch today. SCORE!
